Tegan Soroka, Hons BSc.
Simon Fraser University Honours Psychology
Research Assistant
My honours thesis explores the relationship between sleep and cognition in older adults in the Translational Neuroscience Lab at SFU where I also work as a research assistant. My research interests include sleep, dementia care, and cross-cultural approaches to improving care for older adults and their caregivers. I am especially interested in research focused on improving the accessibility of care in underrepresented communities. After recently graduating, I plan to work and volunteer in the community before pursuing graduate studies in Clinical Neuropsychology.
Outside of academics, you can find me playing the saxophone and violin, spending time with friends, hiking with my dog, and reading a book on my long “to be read” list!
