Hi! My name is Nikita, and I’m a Clinical Psychology graduate student in the Neuropsychology track. My interest in aging research began during my time as a Research Assistant at the University of Calgary, where I primarily worked with individuals experiencing vascular cognitive impairment, a common cause of dementia. I became particularly interested in the relationships between neuropsychiatric symptoms in Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy, a condition that increases one’s risk for dementia, depressive symptoms, and cognitive impairment.

My current research interests include neuropsychiatric symptoms in Early-Onset Alzheimer’s disease, plasma biomarkers, and understanding how the intersection of these factors may inform and improve clinical care and practice.

Outside of the lab, you’ll find me reading, baking, attending concerts, or trying out any new restaurants I hear about!
