“The universe may never make sense to us, but perhaps we can make sense of ourselves.”
As a Master's student in Clinical Psychology at SFU, my research interests span the neuropsychiatric symptoms of dementia and the lived experiences of those affected by it, particularly caregiver burden, grief, and the role of culture in shaping experiences of health and illness.
Beyond understanding why we think, feel, and behave the way we do, I'm interested in what we can do with that knowledge. I believe the value of scientific discovery lies in translating research into meaningful, accessible, real-world interventions. This philosophy has guided my work with the Centre for Obesity and Well-Being (CORE) Research Lab, from advocating for the integration of psychological services into Canada's publicly funded healthcare system to researching disability prevention, resilience, and well-being among frontline workers.
When I'm not buried in assignments, you can find me playing racket sports and exploring new restaurants and cafés. I'm always excited to try a good food rec!
