“People are complicated. That’s kind of the point. Trying to understand human behaviour is already complex enough, but somehow people (and myself included) still manage to surprise me every day.”
Understanding how people navigate care, connection, and vulnerability is at the core of what draws me to this work. Experience in behavioural support and crisis line work, shaped how I think about empathy, resilience, and the importance of meeting people where they are, especially in difficult circumstances. I’m particularly interested in the intersection of psychology and neuroscience, and I plan to pursue graduate studies in clinical psychology.
Outside the lab, I’m off doing side quests like my Dungeons & Dragons character (a half-0rc paladin), watching anime, getting back into drawing, or learning Korean one roll, episode, doodle, and word at a time.
